Over the weekend, I reviewed maths resources and ideas which were discussed at the CENTS meeting.

Assessment week in Year 6. Trialled the new maths sample papers..

Monday - HM to work with MLT. Looked through Maths books. Challenge and consistency were the feedback.

Tuesday - meeting with RG in maths time and also wrote two maths ITPs.

Wednesday - took 4 year six children to the ABI maths challenge.

Thursday - MLT briefing with KK after school.

Monday - met with RF after school to talk about continuity tests, inspire, SAeTs and issues in Year 2.


Tuesday - after school met with KK about maths ( Yr 4, Yr 2, next steps and ordering.


Wednesday - after school briefing re: p2p and HM visit.


Thursday - morning training ( maths) at Swanshurst school. Looked through mastery documents.


Weekend - collated and reviewed work from training to share with KK.

Week Beg 5th Oct

Tue - met with KK about training for next week and booked it.
It  maths time set up the new assessment grids for Yr 2 and Yr 6 and gave out the resources.
Put in for re-order of test base.


Wed - planned use of new assessment in Year 6 for Aut 1
Prepared the SEN files for parents evening


Thur - met with RS to review the SEN files for two pupils.


Friday - met with BH before school.
Wrote up findings and expected solutions over the weekend.

Peer to Peer review week


Monday - prepared books to put out for peer to peer. Looked over data for meetings. SLT support after school.
Met with KK about amendments to staff meeting.


Tuesday - used maths time for p2p prep and also to start giving out the new maths order. Maths lesson observation in Year 6.


Wednesday - met with AB re incident on Tuesday and RG to clarify.

Friday and weekend - work with Team year six to prepare for review. Met with SLT about expectations and areas to prepare for p2p review.

10th / 11 th - prepared maths resources for inspire. First delivery made for maths resources.

Summer Holidays

          pm - maths time ; began ordering for new maths resources and put together rising stars portfolios.


Thursday - completed admin for reports / sending home SATs results, leavers' disco

Monday and Tuesday - Confirmation


Tue - Planned some open ended maths ideas for Year 6 Transition.


Tue - moderation with LK and SC on Year 6 results to upload. Unpicked maths with each member of staff and collated the evidence that we had.


Wed - RE OFSTED preparation.

Friday - uploaded all maths data to the central database with LK. ( Parish day of prayer.)

Book Scrutiny week.


Had Wed and Thur out of class for all of year five book scrutiny and samples from all other year groups.


Also had to put together SRE scheme of work and pupil resources.


Also put together for RG our sacramental preparation unit.


All transition information for ABI and some other schools was completed.


All Year 6 RE tasks for half term were completed.


Looked at planning with  SMVSC focus.

Priority this week was Year 6 and preparation for SATS.


No PPA. Release time used to boost key target maths children.


Spent Thursday Teaching L6 paper in the morning and over-seeing the L6 papers in the afternoon.


Sent out a memo for Maths Book Scrutiny Children for next week.


Meet with KK about Year 5 and priorities for them.

Tue - Planned Maths interventions with Year 6.


Wed - finalised maths lesson observation details, used test base to create Friday lesson resources. Prepared data to share with KK at meeting. Taught Level 6 maths lesson.


Thur - Met with KK after school re: Year 6 next steps and Maths next steps.


Fri - Meeting with KK 7:30am. Release time to prepare maths interventions for the next three weeks.

8/1/15 - Year 6 Inspire. Prepared resources and led the Maths workshop.


9/1/15 - Release time in PM. Sorted new maths resources for new curriculum and new memo. Also worked on test base questions for new Friday slot.

Christmas Holidays

Reviewed Year 6 data concerns and have reallocated interventions for all core subjects for Spring 1.
